Pricing and Related Policies
Three categories will determine your total cost outlay. These are: Rental
of Wedding Venues, Accommodations and Catering.
Rental of Wedding Venues:
The Venue Rental Fee is:
$2750 for weddings with 35 to 70 guests
$3500 for weddings with 75 to 125+ guests
The following amenities are included in the Venue Rental Fee:
Your ceremony with chairs and custom set-ups. Your reception
with tables and chairs. Satellite food and beverage stations,
All linens and skirts. Fine china, silver and glassware. Tabletop
décor like mirrors, vases, table numbers and candles. Ornate cake
stands, bridal cake cutting utensils, bridal flutes.
A complimentary food tasting,
Front-side manager for consulting in all planning,
Professional draping of food, beverage and cake serving stations. A
dedicated chef attendant for carving. Complementary cake cutting,
Sound system for music for processional ceremony, interlude and
dancing. iPod, USB, CD, laptop, microphone and TV connectivity.
Wi-Fi on premises,
Miscellaneous items you may need like unity candle stand(s),
easel(s), candelabra(s), pedestal(s), shepherd hooks, urns, a
podium, a birdcage for gift envelopes, special table set-ups for
bridal displays, gift and cake table, …
Set-up and clean-up.

Not included are: Photographer, Live Music Provider and Officiant.
We will be delighted to get you connected with accredited vendors.
Accommodations:
Privacy and intimacy of your wedding at the Melange is indispensable
for us. That is why and with 30 or more attending to the wedding, the
rental of all the guest rooms is required for a minimum of 2 nights.
Accommodations may be paid individually by your designated guests.
The Melange has 5 luxuriously appointed and spacious guest rooms
that can accommodate 12 guests. 4 of the rooms have king size beds.
The bridal suite has 1 king size and 2 full size beds.
The cost for 5 guest rooms with 12 guests for 2 nights is $1990. You will
love our gourmet breakfast. For destination weddings, a 20% discount is
given for each extra night’s stay beyond the required 2.
Catering:
Dining options cover a broad spectrum from casual to theme-based to
elegant. Custom serving style may range from an hors d’oeuvre-only
party to colorfully decorated buffets, to formally seated and pre-plated,
banquet-style presentations. Our chef will be happy to cater around
your palate or specific dietary requests. Healthy kid menus are available.
We will be delighted to serve cocktails and appetizers during the
interlude between the ceremony and reception.
Food cost is based on your chosen menu, service style and estimated
number of attendees all put together and will be established after the
food tasting session on per person basis within +/-10% of your party.
Selection of assorted sodas, iced or herbal teas or non-alcoholic fruit
punch, lemonade and coffee or hot cocoa are included for the nominal
price of $3 per person, with a minimum of $200.

Serving of Alcoholic Beverages:
You may supply your own wine, beer, champagne. These are subject to
a stemware or corking charge. Third parties are not permitted to bring
any alcohol to the premises.
Included in the stemware charge are dedicated glassware, beverage
napkins, coolers, ice, and disposal of cans and bottles. All unopened
bottles may be retrieved by the bridal party on the morning after the
reception.
For the convenience of the guests, a cash bar is discouraged.
Governing policies around the consumption-based stemware charge are
available in detail. There is a minimum corkage of $200.
Bartender(s) are mandatory when such beverages are served. One
bartender generally serves about 50 guests at $18 to $20/hour.
Payments and Related Policies:
You can secure the special date at the Mélange with a deposit of $3000
and a signed contract with release and indemnity clause. Cash, check,
and credit card are accepted (a 2.5% electronic payment fee applies to
all credit transactions except for payment for rooms).
A working spread sheet as estimate of total and related costs may be
provided at all times.
20% service charge and 6.75% tax are added to Venue Rental and
Catering bill and 11.75% total taxes are added to Accommodations.
Your menu is finalized after food tasting session or latest 90 busines
days prior to wedding date.
A guaranteed minimum guest count must be provided 45 business days
prior to the wedding date.

Final payment for the wedding is due and payable 15 business days
prior. Additionally, an estimated pre-payment for stemware charge, bar
tender wages and a refundable security deposit are collected at this
time. These estimates are based on the minimum attendee count.
Refund of the security deposit is returned within 10 business days of
the wedding.
Incidental charges accrued during the reception (i.e., last minute
additional guests, additional stemware charge or bartender fees) are
due at the conclusion of the event.
Event Duration: 4 hours are allocated for the ceremony and
reception. Additional hour(s) beyond 4 may be accommodated at the
billable rate of $350/hour.
Out of respect to our neighbors, the cut-off time and end of the
wedding is at 10 PM. Live music and beverage services conclude
promptly at 9:30 PM. There are pubs and bars on Main Street
Hendersonville.
Cancellation: In the event of a cancellation, all deposits and
payments are non-refundable. We will gladly try to accommodate and
postpone your wedding to a subsequent date in the same event year,
subject to availability and if out-of-pocket costs of Mélange, if any, are
reimbursed.
