<strong>Your</strong> <strong>Wedding</strong> <strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong> Mélange<br />

<strong>Pricing</strong> <strong>and</strong> Rel<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>Policies</strong><br />

Three c<strong>at</strong>egories will determine your total cost outlay. These are: Rental<br />

of <strong>Wedding</strong> Venues, Accommod<strong>at</strong>ions <strong>and</strong> C<strong>at</strong>ering.<br />

Rental of <strong>Wedding</strong> Venues:<br />

The Venue Rental Fee is:<br />

$2750 for weddings with 35 to 70 guests<br />

$3500 for weddings with 75 to 125+ guests<br />

<strong>Your</strong> ceremony with chairs <strong>and</strong> custom set-ups. <strong>Your</strong> reception<br />

All linens <strong>and</strong> skirts. Fine china, silver <strong>and</strong> glassware. Tabletop<br />

décor like mirrors, vases, table numbers <strong>and</strong> c<strong>and</strong>les. Orn<strong>at</strong>e cake<br />

st<strong>and</strong>s, bridal cake cutting utensils, bridal flutes.<br />

A complimentary food tasting,<br />

Front-side manager for consulting in all planning,<br />

Professional draping of food, beverage <strong>and</strong> cake serving st<strong>at</strong>ions. A<br />

dedic<strong>at</strong>ed chef <strong>at</strong>tendant for carving. Complementary cake cutting,<br />

Sound system for music for processional ceremony, interlude <strong>and</strong><br />

dancing. iPod, USB, CD, laptop, microphone <strong>and</strong> TV connectivity.<br />

Wi-Fi on premises,<br />

Miscellaneous items you may need like unity c<strong>and</strong>le st<strong>and</strong>(s),<br />

easel(s), c<strong>and</strong>elabra(s), pedestal(s), shepherd hooks, urns, a<br />

podium, a birdcage for gift envelopes, special table set-ups for<br />

bridal displays, gift <strong>and</strong> cake table, …<br />

Set-up <strong>and</strong> clean-up.


Not included are: Photographer, Live Music Provider <strong>and</strong> Officiant.<br />

We will be delighted to get you connected with accredited vendors.<br />

Accommod<strong>at</strong>ions:<br />

Privacy <strong>and</strong> intimacy of your wedding <strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong> Melange is indispensable<br />

for us. Th<strong>at</strong> is why <strong>and</strong> with 30 or more <strong>at</strong>tending to <strong>the</strong> wedding, <strong>the</strong><br />

rental of all <strong>the</strong> guest rooms is required for a minimum of 2 nights.<br />

Accommod<strong>at</strong>ions may be paid individually by your design<strong>at</strong>ed guests.<br />

The Melange has 5 luxuriously appointed <strong>and</strong> spacious guest rooms<br />

th<strong>at</strong> can accommod<strong>at</strong>e 12 guests. 4 of <strong>the</strong> rooms have king size beds.<br />

The bridal suite has 1 king size <strong>and</strong> 2 full size beds.<br />

The cost for 5 guest rooms with 12 guests for 2 nights is $1990. You will<br />

love our gourmet breakfast. For destin<strong>at</strong>ion weddings, a 20% discount is<br />

given for each extra night’s stay beyond <strong>the</strong> required 2.<br />

C<strong>at</strong>ering:<br />

Dining options cover a broad spectrum from casual to <strong>the</strong>me-based to<br />

elegant. Custom serving style may range from an hors d’oeuvre-only<br />

party to colorfully decor<strong>at</strong>ed buffets, to formally se<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>and</strong> pre-pl<strong>at</strong>ed,<br />

banquet-style present<strong>at</strong>ions. Our chef will be happy to c<strong>at</strong>er around<br />

your pal<strong>at</strong>e or specific dietary requests. Healthy kid menus are available.<br />

We will be delighted to serve cocktails <strong>and</strong> appetizers during <strong>the</strong><br />

interlude between <strong>the</strong> ceremony <strong>and</strong> reception.<br />

Food cost is based on your chosen menu, service style <strong>and</strong> estim<strong>at</strong>ed<br />

number of <strong>at</strong>tendees all put toge<strong>the</strong>r <strong>and</strong> will be established after <strong>the</strong><br />

food tasting session on per person basis within +/-10% of your party.<br />

Selection of assorted sodas, iced or herbal teas or non-alcoholic fruit<br />

punch, lemonade <strong>and</strong> coffee or hot cocoa are included for <strong>the</strong> nominal<br />

price of $3 per person, with a minimum of $200.<br />

Serving of Alcoholic Beverages:<br />

You may supply your own wine, beer, champagne. These are subject to<br />

a stemware or corking charge. Third parties are not permitted to bring<br />

any alcohol to <strong>the</strong> premises.<br />

Included in <strong>the</strong> stemware charge are dedic<strong>at</strong>ed glassware, beverage<br />

napkins, coolers, ice, <strong>and</strong> disposal of cans <strong>and</strong> bottles. All unopened<br />

bottles may be retrieved by <strong>the</strong> bridal party on <strong>the</strong> morning after <strong>the</strong><br />

reception.<br />

For <strong>the</strong> convenience of <strong>the</strong> guests, a cash bar is discouraged.<br />

Governing policies around <strong>the</strong> consumption-based stemware charge are<br />

available in detail. There is a minimum corkage of $200.<br />

Bartender(s) are m<strong>and</strong><strong>at</strong>ory when such beverages are served. One<br />

bartender generally serves about 50 guests <strong>at</strong> $18 to $20/hour.<br />

Payments <strong>and</strong> Rel<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>Policies</strong>:<br />

You can secure <strong>the</strong> special d<strong>at</strong>e <strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong> Mélange with a deposit of $3000<br />

<strong>and</strong> a signed contract with release <strong>and</strong> indemnity clause. Cash, check,<br />

<strong>and</strong> credit card are accepted (a 2.5% electronic payment fee applies to<br />

all credit transactions except for payment for rooms).<br />

A working spread sheet as estim<strong>at</strong>e of total <strong>and</strong> rel<strong>at</strong>ed costs may be<br />

provided <strong>at</strong> all times.<br />

20% service charge <strong>and</strong> 6.75% tax are added to Venue Rental <strong>and</strong><br />

C<strong>at</strong>ering bill <strong>and</strong> 11.75% total taxes are added to Accommod<strong>at</strong>ions.<br />

<strong>Your</strong> menu is finalized after food tasting session or l<strong>at</strong>est 90 busines<br />

days prior to wedding d<strong>at</strong>e.<br />

A guaranteed minimum guest count must be provided 45 business days<br />

prior to <strong>the</strong> wedding d<strong>at</strong>e.<br />

Final payment for <strong>the</strong> wedding is due <strong>and</strong> payable 15 business days<br />

prior. Additionally, an estim<strong>at</strong>ed pre-payment for stemware charge, bar<br />

tender wages <strong>and</strong> a refundable security deposit are collected <strong>at</strong> this<br />

time. These estim<strong>at</strong>es are based on <strong>the</strong> minimum <strong>at</strong>tendee count.<br />

Refund of <strong>the</strong> security deposit is returned within 10 business days of<br />

<strong>the</strong> wedding.<br />

Incidental charges accrued during <strong>the</strong> reception (i.e., last minute<br />

additional guests, additional stemware charge or bartender fees) are<br />

due <strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong> conclusion of <strong>the</strong> event.<br />

Event Dur<strong>at</strong>ion: 4 hours are alloc<strong>at</strong>ed for <strong>the</strong> ceremony <strong>and</strong><br />

reception. Additional hour(s) beyond 4 may be accommod<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>at</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

billable r<strong>at</strong>e of $350/hour.<br />

Out of respect to our neighbors, <strong>the</strong> cut-off time <strong>and</strong> end of <strong>the</strong><br />

wedding is <strong>at</strong> 10 PM. Live music <strong>and</strong> beverage services conclude<br />

promptly <strong>at</strong> 9:30 PM. There are pubs <strong>and</strong> bars on Main Street<br />

Hendersonville.<br />

Cancell<strong>at</strong>ion: In <strong>the</strong> event of a cancell<strong>at</strong>ion, all deposits <strong>and</strong><br />

payments are non-refundable. We will gladly try to accommod<strong>at</strong>e <strong>and</strong><br />

postpone your wedding to a subsequent d<strong>at</strong>e in <strong>the</strong> same event year,<br />

subject to availability <strong>and</strong> if out-of-pocket costs of Mélange, if any, are<br />

reimbursed.<br />
