Pioneer has announced that they will no longer make PLASMA TV. Samsung and LG have also confirmed<br />

their cessation <strong>of</strong> Plasma.<br />

LCD have now over 80% <strong>of</strong> the market and soon to be seen/released OLED screens that will challenge the<br />

LCD over the next 3 - 4 years. 3-4mm in thickness, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, refresh speeds infinitely<br />

faster than Plasma or LCD. Longevity was a little short, but this issue is now being addressed. Sony had 4<br />

x OLED units at their expo in Christchurch last year, the picture quality was out <strong>of</strong> this world nothing you<br />

Panning Tips: essential in Videography.<br />

When panning with or without a tripod start and stand in the position your pan will finish. Now swing back<br />

to the position to start your pan. You are now returning to a “natural” position and you pan will be<br />

smoother and more controlled.<br />

Start you shot and end your shot with no panning movement. This is essential for editing.<br />
