By moving the first and third tracks to the right, virtually perfect synchronisation has been achieved (as shown in the<br />

second diagram above).<br />

Step 2– Delete audio<br />

tracks that are not required,<br />

in this case all<br />

the tracks except the<br />

audio track recorded<br />

from the mixing console<br />

and the audio<br />

track from camera 1<br />

(with the shot gun<br />

mike, to add Ambience<br />

and audience reactions),<br />

see diagram at<br />

right.<br />

I found that in this<br />

situation it was better<br />

to make a copy <strong>of</strong> the<br />

camera 1 audio track,<br />

and add it to a new<br />

track. This means that<br />

it is not part <strong>of</strong> the<br />

camera 1 take and will<br />

not be chopped up as<br />

different camera takes<br />

are selected. The original<br />

audio track from<br />

camera 1 can then be<br />

deleted (see diagram<br />

the on the next page).<br />
