After zooming in to the timeline you can see any misalignment of tracks more clearly (see the first diagram above).
By moving the first and third tracks to the right, virtually perfect synchronisation has been achieved (as shown in the
second diagram above).
Step 2– Delete audio
tracks that are not required,
in this case all
the tracks except the
audio track recorded
from the mixing console
and the audio
track from camera 1
(with the shot gun
mike, to add Ambience
and audience reactions),
see diagram at
right.
I found that in this
situation it was better
to make a copy of the
camera 1 audio track,
and add it to a new
track. This means that
it is not part of the
camera 1 take and will
not be chopped up as
different camera takes
are selected. The original
audio track from
camera 1 can then be
deleted (see diagram
the on the next page).
