<strong>of</strong> SR 1001 and west <strong>of</strong> US 15/501.<br />

(I) Horseback riding on field trial<br />

grounds from October 22 through<br />

March 31 shall be prohibited except<br />

by participants in authorized field<br />

trials.<br />

(64) Sandy Mush Game Land in Buncombe and<br />

Madison counties.<br />

(A) Three Days per Week Area<br />

(B) Horseback riding is prohibited except<br />

on designated trails May 16 through<br />

August 31 and all horseback riding is<br />

prohibited from September 1 through<br />

May 15. This Rule includes all<br />

equine species.<br />

(65) Scuppernong Game Land in Tyrrell and<br />

Washington counties<br />

(A) Six Days per Week Area<br />

(B) Deer <strong>of</strong> either sex may be taken all<br />

the open days <strong>of</strong> the applicable Deer<br />

With Visible Antlers Season.<br />

(66) Shocco Creek Game Land in Franklin and<br />

Warren counties<br />

Six Days per Week Area<br />

Deer <strong>of</strong> either sex may be taken the<br />

first six open days and the last six<br />

open days <strong>of</strong> the applicable Deer<br />

With Visible Antlers Season.<br />

(C) Horseback riding, including all<br />

(67) South Mountains Game Land in Burke,<br />

Cleveland, McDowell and Rutherford counties<br />

(A) Six-Day per Week Area.<br />

the open days <strong>of</strong> the applicable Deer<br />

With Visible Antlers Season<br />

(C) Swimming in all lakes is prohibited.<br />

(69) Suggs Mill Pond Game Land in Bladen<br />

County;<br />

(A) Hunting is by Permit only.<br />

(B) Camping is restricted to Sept. 1<br />

through Feb. 28 and April 7 through<br />

May 14 in areas both designated and<br />

posted as camping areas.<br />

(70) Sutton Lake Game Land in New Hanover<br />

County<br />

(A) Six Days per Week Area<br />

(B) Deer <strong>of</strong> either sex may be taken the<br />

last six open days <strong>of</strong> the applicable<br />

Deer With Visible Antlers Season.<br />

(71) Tar River Game Land in Edgecombe County -<br />

- hunting is by permit only.<br />

(72) Three Top Mountain Game Land in Ashe<br />

Participants <strong>of</strong> the Disabled<br />

Sportsman Program may also take<br />

either-sex deer with bow and arrow<br />

on the Saturday prior to Northwestern<br />

bow and arrow season.<br />
