TITLE 21 – OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING BOARDS AND<br />

COMMISSIONS<br />

CHAPTER 06 - BOARD OF BARBER EXAMINERS<br />

21 <strong>NC</strong>AC 06F .0102 MANAGER<br />

(a) Each barber school shall have at least one manager who is<br />

responsible for the overall operation <strong>of</strong> the school and who holds<br />

a current instructor's certificate.<br />

(b) A barber school manager shall not also be a manager <strong>of</strong> a<br />

barber shop.<br />

(c) A barber school manager shall devote full time to the barber<br />

school by being present on the premises the majority <strong>of</strong> the time<br />

instruction to students is being provided. The barber school<br />

manager is accountable for activities at the school whether<br />

present on the premises or not.<br />

21 <strong>NC</strong>AC 06F .0110 ROSTER AND STUDENT<br />

RECORDS<br />

Each barber school shall:<br />

(1) maintain an up-to-date written roster system<br />

which shall be used to ensure that each student<br />

serves substantially equal numbers <strong>of</strong> patrons;<br />

(2) maintain a complete record <strong>of</strong> each student<br />

including a weekly record <strong>of</strong> the number <strong>of</strong><br />

days and hours the student attended classes in<br />

practical work and theory;<br />

(3) maintain a separate daily record <strong>of</strong> the number<br />

<strong>of</strong> patrons the student served for haircuts,<br />

shaves and other clinical services;<br />

(4) maintain a weekly record <strong>of</strong> the subject matter<br />

taught the student in theory classes;<br />

(5) provide the list <strong>of</strong> students required by G.S.<br />

86A-22(5) by the 15th day <strong>of</strong> each month; and<br />

(6) maintain the signed acknowledgment<br />

regarding notification <strong>of</strong> the Board's rules<br />

regarding criminal convictions and sex<br />

<strong>of</strong>fenders required by 21 <strong>NC</strong>AC 06F .0116.<br />
