Important Information about the Auction Importance of Your Paddle Number & Auction Book Please remember that your paddle number is on the back of this auction book. You will be required to show your auction book for entrance to Room 242 for food and drinks, and Room 308 for the live auction. The auction book will also be required in order to claim your prize from both the silent and live auction. The number on the back of your book is what you will use to bid on items in the live auction. The Silent Auction Each auction item will have a corresponding Bid Sheet. Should you have any questions about our many items, please feel free to ask our friendly volunteers at the nearby PJF Table. Anyone may place a bid on the silent auction items. However, each winner must purchase an auction ticket in order to claim his or her prize. To place a bid: enter your name, email address, and the amount of your bid. Please be careful to check the Bid Sheet for the minimum bid amount, and bids must be made in at least $10 increments. PJF and Hofstra Law School shall not be responsible for any improperly placed bids. After bidding, remember to periodically check back on your item to see if you have been outbid; if so, simply re-enter your bidding information with a higher bid. The silent auction will end promptly at 6:00pm, at which time the Bid Sheets will be pulled from the tables and the winning bidders recorded. Once that is complete, the Bid Sheets will be returned to their places so that bidders may check to see which items they have won. Collection & Payment of Silent Auction Items To pay for and collect Silent Auction items you win, visit the PJF table in the Student Lounge. Bid items from the Silent Auction MUST be claimed at 6:15pm. That table will be staffed until the beginning of the Live Auction. Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card (Visa or Master Card only). Collection & Payment of Live Auction Items Payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card (Visa or Master card only) at the time the bid is accepted as final. Please note: all items are nonrefundable.
