at 12VDC. That’s roughly 60% more efficient than 100 Watt 

halogen models. Now, departments can easily run multiple 

lights without taxing the vehicle’s 12V electrical system. 

30 times more bulb life The 35W Xenon H.I.D. lamp lasts 

approximately 3,000 hours as compared to the approximate 

100 hour bulb life of most halogens. Fewer bulb changes 

means increased reliability, less service time and decreased life 

cycle cost. 

Reliability A rubber gasket on the front of the lens fully 

encapsulates the housing, ensuring water and elements stay 

out. The ballast design incorporates proven technology found 

in luxury cars.

HALOGEN COLLINS DYNAMICS FX SERIES 

The Collins-Dynamics brand has been the brightest spotlight on the 

market for over 25 years and continues to be a recognized leader. 

The Collins Dynamics spotlight incorporates a unique spun aluminum 

reflector that is polished and vacuum metalized. This process creates a 

high-quality mirror-like finish that emits a consistent beam focus that 

produces 30% more light output than sealed beam bulbs. 

Single- and dual-stage reflectors provide high-intensity halogen spot, 

flood and enhanced flood beam patterns. The body is constructed 

of black anodized aluminum with a chrome plated reflector housing, 

and an aluminum switch box; switches are standard. All models are 

standard 12 volt and, if specified, offered with 24 volt bulbs.

Lumens Versus Candlepower 

Lumens are a total quantity of light, while candlepower is a measure of light intensity in one direction. There is no way to compute 

candlepower from lumens or vice-versa without considering all aspects of the design of the fixture, reflector, and lens. Candlepower is 

somewhat useful to characterize spotlights, since their objective is to project a narrow beam of light over a long distance. Flood lights, 

which are designed to disperse light over a larger area, must be plotted on a graph. This data shows the light output at various angles 

relative to the light fixture. 

Lumens and Yellow Light 

For all practical purposes, a lumen rating is a weighted measure of the quantity of yellow light produced. That works acceptably for 

most indoor applications using incandescent lighting, but generally provides inaccurate results under low lighting conditions and with 

modern light sources. For outdoor lighting, choose full-spectrum light sources, such as metal halide, Xenon HID, and CCFL, that have a 

correlated color temperature between 4,000K and 5,000K for maximum visibility. Any other light source should be de-rated using an 

effective lumen calculation. Please note that most lamps, including many metal halide, Xenon HID, and fluorescent lamps, as well as 

all LED’s, halogen, and incandescent lamps, have a sub-optimal color temperature. This includes lamps shipped in some competitors’ 

fixtures. 

For example, a 70 watt, metal halide HID lamp (6000 lumens, 4500K) produces about the same amount of usable light as a 

500 watt halogen lamp (10,500 lumens, 3000K) .

TITAN MOUNT 

The Havis Titan Mount is a rugged, professional grade computer 

mount that combines the perfect balance of strength, safety, 

and ultra-smooth operation worthy of your most mission critical 

computer devices. 

• Titan Mount is stout. Heavy gauge steel poles, welded, rigid 

seat bases along with its universal support arms virtually elim- i- 

nate wobble and vibration that can make reading difficult. 

• Titan Mount is safe. A standard stop collar allows the installer 

to adjust the height and limit the computer from telescoping 

below desired height. Order the optional top lock and the 

entire rotation can be positively locked in place to prevent the 

unit from spinning in a collision or air bag deployment. 

• Titan Mount is smooth. Designed with a unique precision 

machined aluminum clamp and lever along with a PVC split sleeve for no metal-to-metal contact when adjusting the pole. All moving 

parts have a glossy, ultra smooth e-coat finish which further reduces friction. Order the optional “lift assist” gas shock kit that you 

can drop in the pole assembly and the Titan Mount will help you do the lifting and prevents the heavy equipment from slamming 

down.
