For almost two decades Heil has been the undisputed leader
in automated collection systems, setting the standard with
refuse vehicles like the Formula ® 7000. In that time, we’ve
learned a thing or two about automated systems. So we made
the Formula ® 7000 to
be dependable, fast,
and easy to operate.
Since, we’ve combined
that trusted technology
with the most advanced refuse bodies ever designed – the
DuraPack ® bodies from Heil. Clean and stylish, the sidewall
of the DuraPack ® body is made from a single sheet of steel,
turned horizontally so that packing forces work with the grain
of the steel for less wear and longer life.
And that’s just the beginning. The DuraPack ® 7000 body
features a fully welded interlaced subframe; easy to service
shoes and bearings; protected and concealed hydraulic tubes;
strategically located pumps and valves for easier service; and
a lower overall profile which also means improved center of
gravity.
The Shur-Lock tailgate system can be unlocked, raised,
lowered and locked again all from inside the cab.
Stronger Than Ever — Heil’s famous interlaced subframe is
even better than before. The DuraPack ® 7000 subframe has
more crossmembers, evenly spaced, and all fully welded for a
greater strength and superior resistance to corrosion.

Service Smart
Critical valves and connections are readily accessible on the
DuraPack ® 7000, located on the street side of the hopper. The
side access door and the clean out door are also located for
easy service, keeping with the DuraPack ® goal of making life
easier for Heil users.
Pneumatic controls are simple and straight forward, operated by
three in-cab levers.
Proven Reliability — The dependable DuraPack ® 7000 lift has a 72-inch
reach, 2,000 lbs lift capacity and a fast cycle time of less than 8 seconds.
A variety of container grabbers are available. The popular Universal
grabber, shown here, can handle containers from 90 to 400 gallons.
