<strong>ATTENTION</strong>: <strong>Important</strong> <strong>tax</strong> <strong>reporting</strong> <strong>in<strong>for</strong>mation</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>investors</strong> in <strong>tax</strong>-exempt mutual funds<br />
For the <strong>tax</strong> year 2011, mutual funds are required by the Internal Revenue Service to report the amount of <strong>tax</strong>-exempt interest<br />
dividends paid on Form 1099-INT. If the amount of such dividends paid to you in 2011 was $10.00 or more, you will receive an<br />
IRS Form 1099-INT from Pioneer <strong>reporting</strong> those <strong>tax</strong>-exempt interest dividends in Box 8. Also, mutual funds are required to<br />
report in Box 9 on Form 1099-INT the amount of the <strong>tax</strong>-exempt interest paid, if any, subject to the Alternative Minimum Tax.<br />
The amount shown in Box 8 on Form 1099-INT should be reported on your Federal income <strong>tax</strong> return on line 8b of either IRS<br />
Form 1040 or Form 1040A. If Box 9 of Form 1099-INT reports an amount subject to the Alternative Minimum Tax, please refer<br />
to the Instructions <strong>for</strong> IRS Form 6251.<br />
Please consult with your <strong>tax</strong> adviser to determine if you must file Form 6251 or <strong>for</strong> more <strong>in<strong>for</strong>mation</strong> about <strong>tax</strong>-exempt<br />
interest dividends.<br />
The amount of <strong>tax</strong>-exempt interest dividends paid by a Pioneer fund that is reported in Box 8 on Form 1099-INT is NOT<br />
subject to Federal income <strong>tax</strong>. However, if your fund paid a capital gains distribution in 2011 or made a distribution out of<br />
<strong>tax</strong>able income, you may also receive an IRS Form 1099-DIV from Pioneer <strong>reporting</strong> your <strong>tax</strong>able income.<br />
Remember<br />
g Tax-exempt income distributions are not subject to<br />
Federal income <strong>tax</strong>. You need to report this amount<br />
<strong>for</strong> <strong>in<strong>for</strong>mation</strong>al purposes only on your Federal<br />
income <strong>tax</strong> return.<br />
