Operations Review
At Blister Dam, sub-vertical zones of altered feldspar-phyric basalt, with up to 10% sulphide (pyrite, pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite), silica
flooding and textural destruction within mylonitic zones all confirm a favourable gold mineralised setting.
An Aircore drilling program was designed to test four structural targets. A best intercept of 15m at 0.44/t Au from 35m was returned
in BDA267 from within the Carnage Shear Zone. Anomalous results are listed as follows.
Potential exists for strike extensions of at least 600m to the anomalous zone, both east and west of the intercept in BD267.
Heron’s exploration is now focussing on nickel laterite targets, restricted to an ultramafic horizon interpreted to correlate with the Walter
Williams Formation. Proposed drill collars have been marked out and Ground Disturbance Application lodged. Previous drilling areas
have been rehabilitated.
Expenditure to date has been $0.3 million. Negotiations to farm-out the gold rights are current.
2.8.4 Bullabulling Project
Heron 100%.
Nickel - gold.
The 188km 2 project area covering
5 tenements is located 60km WSW of
Kalgoorlie immediately east of the Ida
Fault. The project area has an extensive
soil cover. Aeromagnetic interpretation
indicates the presence of ultramafic
rocks with probable thrust repetitions.
At the Dunnsville Prospect, Heron’s
field reconnaissance has confirmed the
presence of nickel laterite mineralisation.
No previous drilling is apparent, although
old costeans indicate excellent gold
target settings, and some small-scale
gold mining activity is evident.
Exploration Licence applications are
awaiting grant.
needs to be pegged.
All Heron vehicles are similarly set up. From safety viewpoint, the vehicles each carry a GPS, EPIRB and
satphone for working in remoter areas.
