The drill hole numbers with “GSDD” as a prefix and printed above in bold, denote the Diamond Drill hole results. The
underlying row of data with “GSRC” as a prefix is for the adjoining RC drill hole, located some 5m from the Diamond
Drill hole collar.
Comparing Tables 8 and 9, all ore zones defined by the RC drilling have been replicated by the
Confirmation Diamond Drilling. In terms of the large grade variability normally attributed to Nickel Laterite
mineralisation, the correlation and validation results for the Goongarrie South ore zones are exceptional.
Goongarrie South Metallurgy
Half drill core samples were dispatched to the Lakefield Oretest metallurgical laboratory in Perth. A total of 14 half
core and 2 RC drill chip geological bulk composites are undergoing metallurgical evaluation. Sample splits were
returned to Kalgoorlie for check assay and qualitative screen upgrade testing. Replicate assays have demonstrated
excellent precision, confirming a high level of confidence in the analytical programs. Initial metallurgical test work on
Limonite Ore indicates an acid consumption of around 200-250kg/t and Ni and Co recoveries exceeding 93%, which
is encouraging.
A further 4 samples from Goongarrie South were collected by Centaur and submitted for metallurgical study as part
of the Cawse Stage II PFS. Metallurgical performance was as expected for Walter Williams Limonite Ore, although
final results are not as yet available to Heron.
Photo Strip: These ore sample piles were drilled a year ago, during the 800x80m pattern drilling. The sample piles quickly
decompose when exposed to the weather.
