HERON RESOURCES LIMITED
ASX MEDIA RELEASE 1 December 2004
Kalgoorlie Nickel Project
Purchase of Bulong Taurus Prospect from SuperSorb
Heron (ASX:HRR) is pleased to announce it has entered into a letter agreement with SuperSorb Environmental NL
(SuperSorb) to purchase the Bulong Taurus Prospect adjac ent to Heron’s Bulong Nickel Prospect. Bulong Taurus covers
3.66km 2 over 3 tenements.
Heron Managing Director Ian Buchhorn said Bulong Taurus is a further consolidation of Heron’s Kalgoorlie Nickel Project
resource base, and with the previously announced Danae Bulong East acquisition, ties up all documented nickel laterite
mineralisation at Bulong.
“The Bulong Taurus acquisition delivers additional potentially high grade saprolite mineralisation for the proposed
Goongarrie processing plant,” Mr Buchhorn said.
“This latest acquisition further confirms that the Kalgoorlie Nickel Project is continuing at full pace. The Company is
currently drilling out proposed pit areas at Goongarrie, Siberia and Highway, and bulk drill samples from these areas are
being processed at the Oretest Perth metallurgical laboratory.”
The consideration is $20,000 cash and 200,000 Heron vendor shares, following which Heron will have 100% ownership of
all mineral rights at Bulong Taurus.
Nickel laterite mineralisation is present at Bulong Taurus, with previous drill intercepts including 16m at 1.22% Ni, 23m at
1.05% Ni, 28m at 1.03% Ni, 14m at 1.37% Ni, 19m at 1.04% Ni, 27m at 1.20% Ni and 17m at 1.41% Ni.
The currently defined mineralised area at Bulong Taurus occurs over an area of 1,000 x 200m which has been drilled for
resource definition. A significant area of prospective ultramafic rock has had only minimal exploration completed. This area
is a key target area for future Heron drill exploration, aimed at increasing saprolite resources.
Yours faithfully
Managing Director
