make up for the want of many other enjoyments to
those whose life is mostly passed amid the smoke and
din, the bustle and noise of a large 6ty. Pictures of
Our Lord and His saints inspire us, give us courage,
pnd induce us to bear our crosa with Christian resignation.

Either He will shield you from suffering or He will give
you unfailing strength to bear it. Re at peace, then,
and put aside all anxious thought and imaginations.

the kingdom of heaven we shall understand that it is
God who gives and God who takes away; and that He
