Despise not a juet man that is poor, md do not w ify

The great man, aad the judge, and the mighty is in
honor: and there is none greater than he that feareth God.
Believe not every word. There is one that slippeth with
the tongue, but not from hb heart.
For who is there that hath not offended with his tongue?
Wine and women make wise men fallaff.
How sufficient is a little wine for a man well taught
(Ecclus.).

is a $ar man who is sound, and strong of constitution,
t an a rich man who is weak and afflicted
with evils.
There is no riches above the riches of the health of the
body : and there is no pleasure above the joy of the heart.
Give not up thy soul to sadness, and a%ct not thyself
In th own counsel.
'&he joyfulness of the heart is the life of a man, and a
neverfailing treasure of holiness: and the joy of a man is
length of lie.
Have pity on thy own soul, pleasing God, and contain
thyself: gather up thy heart in His holiness: and drive
&way sadness far from thee.
He that loveth gold, shall not bk justified: and he that
followeth after corruption shall be tilled with it.
Many have been brought to fall for gold, and the beauty
thereof hath been their ruin.
Gold is a stumbling-block to them that sacrifire to it:
woe to them that eagerly follow after it, and every fool shall
perish by it.
Blessed is the rich man that is found without blemish:
and that hath not gone after gold, nor put his trust in money

My son, do thou nothing without counsel, and thou shalt
