of the Blessed Virgin.
N. B. -The prayers in this book are all approved by
ecclesiastical authority, and hence may be used at pleasure
in making the above-mentioned novenas.
A very simple and satisfactory method of making a
novena in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary consists in
reciting the following prayers:
I. The Litany of Loreto.
2. The Memornre, and an act of consecration.
3. Three Our Fathers, Hail Marys, and Glorys in
thanksgiving to the Blessed Trinity for the prerogatives
and graces bestowed upon the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Conclude with an ejaculation appropriate to the season
or to the festival commemorated. The following nil1
suffice for all seasons.
