Viio virginurn praeclara, Virgin of all virgins best !
Mihi jam non sis amara, Listen to my fond request:
Fac me tecum plan- Let me share thy grief
gere.
divine;
Fac, ut portem Christi Let me, to my latest
mortem,
breath,
Passionis fac consortem, In my body bear the death
Et plagas recolere. Of that dying Son of thine.
'Fac me plagis vulnerari,
Fac me cruce inebriari,
Et cruore Filii.
Wounded with His every
wound,
Steep my soul till it hath
swooned
In His very blood away;
Flammis ne urar succen- Be to me, 0 Virgin,

nigh,
Per te, Virgo, sim defen- Lest in flames I burn and
sus
die,
In die judicii. In His awful judgment day.
Christe, cum sit hinc Christ, when Thou shalt
exire,
call me hence,
Da per Matrem me Be Thy Mother my devenire
fence,
Ad palmam victoriae. Be Thy cross my victory;
Quando corpus morietur, While my body heredecays,
Fac ut animae don- May my squl Thy goodetur
ness praise,
Paradisi gloria. Safe in paradise with Thee.
