your neighbor; and surely it will keep you from offending
Jesus with that tongue which has been sanctified by the
touch of His sacred flesh.
5. In connection with your visits to the Blessed Sacrament,
make a spiricuol commut~ion, renewing in the most
lively manner your desire to receive our dear Lord into your
heart. Remember, for love of us Jesus remains night and
day in the tabernacle, ardently desiring to communicate
Himself to our souls, and bestow His graces upon us. Ah I
what monstrous forgetfulness and ingratitude, if, when we
caneasily visit Him, we ne lect to go to Him during the day.
to pay our homage and ajoration to Him in return for all
His love.
N.B. - To these devotions after communion may be
added (or in place of them may be substituted), according
to one's time and pleasure, other acts and prayers in
honor of the Blessed Sacrament, the passion of Our Lord,
or the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

REQUENT and daily communion as a thing most
earnestly desired b Christ our Lord and by
olic Church should ge open to all the faithful, of
- whatever rank and condition of life; so that no one who is
in the state of race, and who approaches the Holy Table
with a right an2 devout intention, can lawfully be hindered
therefrom.
2. A right intention consists in this: That he who
approaches the Holy Table should do so, not out of routine,
or vainglory, or human respect, but for the purpose of
pleasing God, or being more closely united with Him by
charity, and of seeking this divine remedy for his weaknesses
and defects.
