Esns, my Lord, since Thou hast come to me to grant
3 me graces, bidding ine to ask with confidence, I
now pray Thee not for earthly riches, honors, and transitory
pleasures, but for the greatest spiritual treasures,
namely, a supernatural homr of sin, and intense sorrow
for past offenses, freedom from inordinate affections,
a meek i~nd humble heart like Thine, the most perfect
submission and even abandonment to Thy will, a holy
life, and a happy death. Help .me to live daily more
perfectly in accordance with Thy spirit and with the
teachings of the holy Catholic Church.
Permit me also to ask for some special faMrs (mentimr
them). 0 heavenly Father! Since our dear Lord and
Saviour Himself has said: "Amen, amen, I say to you,
if you ask the Father anything in My name, He will
give it you," I beseech Thee, for the Iove of Thy Son,
Jesus Christ, Who now dwells within me, and Whose
infinite merits I offer tip to Thee, do Thou graciously
hear my prayers and grant all my petitions.
