Hail, awful brow t hail, thorny wreath!
Hail, countenance now pale in death 1
Whose glance but late so brightly blazed,
That angels trembled as they gazed.
And hail to thee, my Saviour's side;
And hail to thee, thou wound so wide:
Thou wound more ruddy ttian the rose,
True antidote of all our woes!
Oh, by those sacred hands and feet
For me so mangled ! I entreat,
My Jesus, turn me not away,
But let me here forever stay.
PRAYERS FOR THOSE IN THEIR AGONY
0 MOST merciful Jesus, lover of souls, I pray
Thee by the agony of Thy most sacred
Heart, and by the sorrows of Thy immaculate
Mother, wash in Thy blood the sinners of the whole
world who are now in their agony, and are to die
this day. Amen.
