The Sovereign Pontiff, Pius VI, by a rescript of the
Sacred Congregation of the Propaganda, March 18, 1781,
granted these indulgences to all the flithful who may happen
to dwell in a place where no bell for the dead is sounded,
provided they shall say the De profundzs, or the Our
Fathcr, and the Hail Mary, etc., about nightfall.
