faults of those who are gone are forgotten, for we have
ceased to suffer from them. \Ve feel only the void
which our loved ones ha\e left, and however wayward
their course, we can recall a time in their lives that
was good, sentiments that were noble and touching.
This period and these sentiments are our most vivid
memories, and suffice to make us regret them.
Ah, why should we only discover the virtues of those
who, love us when it is too late to appreciate them, to
enjoy them, and to let our loved ones see that we
