Furthermore, it should be noted that for-profits are not too eager to talk about their budget,<br />

whereas n<strong>on</strong>-profits, who are often work<strong>in</strong>g with a mix of <strong>in</strong>come sources and a s<strong>in</strong>gle<br />

budget for the whole associati<strong>on</strong>, cannot separate the budget for youth work from their other<br />

activities. Public and semi-public providers, <strong>in</strong> c<strong>on</strong>trast, more often explicitly target young<br />

people and receive fund<strong>in</strong>g for exactly these activities, so they can more easily identify the<br />

amounts budgeted for their youth work.<br />

The whole budget identified at local level amounts to 4.5 milli<strong>on</strong> euros:<br />

Most of the providers f<strong>in</strong>ance their youth work activities through a mix of membership and<br />

participati<strong>on</strong> fees, sp<strong>on</strong>sor<strong>in</strong>g and municipal funds. The reas<strong>on</strong> for the high number of<br />

organisati<strong>on</strong> that depend <strong>on</strong> membership fees is that many of them are sports associati<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
