PROBATION PERIOD<br />
All newly hired employees shall be on probation for the first six (6) consecutive months<br />
worked. Casual/substitute employees shall always be considered probationary.<br />
PAYMENT OF WAGES<br />
<strong>Employee</strong>s shall be paid on or before the 28 th day <strong>of</strong> the month by direct deposit to the<br />
employee’s financial institution. When the 28 th <strong>of</strong> the month falls on a weekend,<br />
payment will be made on the previous Friday. The December pay day will be the last<br />
day <strong>of</strong> school before Christmas vacation.<br />
A substitute employee shall be paid no later than the fifth (5 th ) business day <strong>of</strong> the<br />
month following a month in which the employee provided substitute service.<br />
HANDBOOK REVIEW AND AMENDMENT<br />
The <strong>Good</strong> Spirit School Division will review this handbook on an annual basis and will<br />
make amendments where applicable.<br />
