been reviewed with new and current staff that would benefit from a
refresher.
Module 2 & 3: On August 28th, it is recommended that a couple hours be set
aside for the EA and CT to review Module 2 and 3 together with the
classroom teacher that they are scheduled to spend the most time with.
Module 4: Module 4 can be reviewed by the EAs independently.
All pre and post tests and work booklets need to be submitted to your SSC.
Alternate Transportation
A reminder to complete an
alternative transportation request
for all students in your school
who need to be transported to
school in a different way than
their peers. This includes parental
or EA transportation, alternate
school bus routes, special abilities
bus, taxi, wheelchair accessible
school bus, etc. All students need
to be updated annually. Please
review your alternate
transportation requests to ensure
the information reflects the
students’ current transportation
needs. Once recorded in TPM, in
the spring you will be asked to
clone the request, update for the
new school year and make any
additions or deletions to the list.
Special Funding Request
If you are requesting funds to
provide students with music
therapy, additional swimming,
bowling or any other extracurricular
events that are reflected
in the IIP goals, please complete
the Special Funding Request on
TPM and email your SSC when
your request has been submitted.
IPADS
Students will have their iPads
returned to them in the first
week in September. As part of
our technology tool kit, each
SST will receive one iPad for
student trials and use at school.
These will be distributed on
Oct. 8th at our Positive Path
Forward Day in Yorkton. All
SSTs are to attend this day
which includes training on
various apps.
IIPS
New Students on IIPs: TPM
has not automatically added
IIPs for students transferring to
your school from another
GSSD school. A temporary
solution is to add your new
student by clicking the ‘add’
button and typing in the
student’s last name. You should
then be able to see your new
student on the return to listing
page for all templates (referral,
IIP etc). If you are having
difficulty please contact TPM
and provide the name of the
student and their previous and
present school.
A random sampling of IIPs will
be selected for formal review on
an annual basis.
IIPs are due September 30th for
existing IIPs and Oct 30th for
students new to GSSD.
Interdisciplinary Meetings
ID meeting templates are now
on TPM. Please complete and
upload all supporting
documentation for the October
ID Meetings a minimum of one
week ahead of your schedule
meeting.
