Part of the Superintendent’s recommendation to the School Board,
and the final budget as adopted by the School board, is the
elimination of many (not ALL) of the student fees the school
district charges our families. As we continue to look for ways to
remove opportunity barriers for our students, eliminating fees
associated with courses is another step in the right direction to
ensure all students can access coursework. Eliminating fees does
NOT mean that we are eliminating programs or courses.
Some of the SAC fees now covered are: Workbooks and
publications, class fees and planners. The first one will be free,
second one charged at cost.
Athletic Participation Fees, All Day Kindergarten Tuition,
Preschool Tuition and the lunch program will still have required
fees. (These programs are not Basic Education).
Look for more information on the Sac and District websites as it
becomes available.
