1982 BOYS CROSS COUNTRY COACH OF THE YEAR RICK EVANS, MARTY This was the f~rst year that White River i~ative Rick Evans hod coached cross country, and he led the Morty boys to the State Class B Championship, "The boys really dese~e the credit. They set a goal for the state meet and really wanted it. They really came together as a team."
1982 GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY COACH OF THE YEAR RUSS STRANDE, BROOKINGS Russ Stronde began coaching girls cross country in 1975 at Brookings and has guided them to state championships in 1980 and in 1982. "The award goes bock to the kids you coach. We've had good attitude and good hard workers, plus same talent."
