Installati<strong>on</strong> and Operati<strong>on</strong><br />

3. C<strong>on</strong>nect blue (low side) service hose between low port<br />

<strong>on</strong> unit and previously installed tank adapter.<br />

4. Open blue (liquid) tank valve. Close red (vapor) tank<br />

valve, red (high side) service hose coupler, and high side<br />

panel valve.<br />

5. Open blue service hose coupler, and low side valve <strong>on</strong><br />

c<strong>on</strong>trol panel.<br />

6. Plug the power cord into a properly grounded supply line.<br />

Refer to the ID Plate <strong>on</strong> the back of your Kool Kare unit<br />

for proper supply voltage.<br />

7. Turn <strong>on</strong> the power switch. The following screens display:<br />

— The Kool Kare Welcome screen,<br />

— The Software Versi<strong>on</strong> screen,<br />

— The Adjust C<strong>on</strong>trast screen–Adjust or Skip, and<br />

— The Recycle screen.<br />

8. Select NO. The Vacuum screen displays.<br />

9. Select YES. The Vacuum Time screen displays.<br />

10. Press UP key twice until Minutes field displays 10.<br />

11. Press ENTER. The Hold Vacuum screen displays.<br />

12. Press ENTER. The Charging screen displays.<br />

13. Select NO. The C<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong> Check screen displays.<br />

14. Select CONTINUE. The following messages display:<br />

I'M CHECKING FOR PRESSURE IN VEHICLE BEFORE<br />

PULLING VACUUM!<br />

SETTING UP FOR VACUUM MODE<br />

PLEASE WAIT!<br />

PULLING VACUUM ON VEHICLE.<br />

3 The last message also displays the number of minutes<br />

remaining for the vacuum cycle.<br />

15. The evacuati<strong>on</strong> procedure runs for ten minutes. Your<br />

Kool Kare unit beeps twice when the procedure is<br />

completed. The final screen in the cycle displays with<br />

the following message:<br />

COMPLETED!<br />
