We provide the still life setups and props, studio setups and models. You bring your camera and
enthusiasm to create your own images in our friendly, learning environment.
Take a traditional portrait or create one with a contemporary flair using a variety of studio light
and natural light set-ups with our models. If your interest is in still-life (table-top) photography,
create your own compositions using our backgrounds, lighting, and various objects.
At 9:15am a short, instructional session will be conducted about how to use the studio
setups, lighting, and model placement. Immediately following is a session on
using the still-life (tabletop) setups. In the afternoon our favorite digital processing guy will have a
class on dodging and burning your images using Lightroom, Photoshop, and plug-ins.

Equipment
Please bring the following
Camera
Lenses– normal to short telephoto, possibly
even a macro in the still life room
Digital memory cards or film
Camera’s instruction manual
Tripod and Shutter release cable
Who should come
Anyone with a camera and an interest in photographing
tabletop setups and/or people with
studio lights will benefit from this friendly,
learning day with fellow photographers. If you
are brand new to this, let us know so you can
get some extra attention to get the most out of
the day.
About the still life set-ups: A slow shutter speed
is used with the still life set-ups so putting your
camera on a tripod will give you better images.
A shutter release cable is recommended.
About studio lighting set-ups: To connect to
the studio set-ups, your camera must have a
standard hot shoe and can be set to manual exposure
mode.
Important Note: Photographs of models taken
at the workshop may be used for competition
and exhibition purposes only. These photographs
are not authorized for trade or commercial
use. A separate model release between
a model/model's representative and
photographer will supersede this agreement.
The Peoria Camera Club is not responsible for
