Objective
COPIS has been developed with the aim to minimize the processing time in an
effective manner for maintaining and disseminating information with regard to
PROFLAL Accounts.
Outcome
The software records and maintains up-to-date information of the PROFLAL
Accounts. The interest acquired on the savings can be calculated as and when
required and on a periodical basis for the benefit of the subscribers. We are also
in a position to prepare and furnish Subscriber’s Slip in an effort to enable the
subscribers to know the status of their savings and the amount credited in their
favour immediately and effortlessly.
Functionality
The broad functional areas covered by the Information System are :
Data Entry / Updation of PROFLAL Accounts using Form
VIII and Form VIIA
Master Entry of PROFLAL Accounts using Form IIB
Scroll for next Financial Year
Generation of Form VIII and Form IX
Generation of Reports on Monthly Collection of a GP, Detailed
Deposit of a Subscriber, List of Subscribers whose Payment is due etc.
Recalculation in case of backlog / missing / wrong entries
Implementation Status
Version 1.1 of the software implemented during 2005 at the Block level at twelve
Block Development Offices (BDOs) of the District viz., BDO Amta-I, BDO Amta-
II, BDO Bagnan-I, BDO Bagnan-II, BDO Uluberia-I, BDO Uluberia-II, BDO
Shyampur-I, BDO Shyampur-II, BDO Panchla, BDO Sankrail, BDO
Jagatballavpur and BDO Udaynarayanpur. The revised version i.e., Version 2.0
of the software is under implementation at these Offices.
Technical Specification
Development Platform : Windows 98, Visual Basic 6.0, MS Access 2000.
Post Developmental / Post Implementation Role of NIC
NIC is maintaining the software and also improving upon the software to suit the Scheme
best. Regular training programmes are being conducted for the Officials of twelve Block
Development Offices of the District.
