Functionality<br />
LAIS has been implemented for Land Acquisition Cases under LA Act – I Section-<br />
17 , Revival cases (from Act – II to Act – I) and non-revival cases (Act II cases) in<br />
the Land Acquisition Department (General) and the Land Acquisition Department<br />
(<strong>Howrah</strong> Improvement Trust). The broad functional areas covered by the<br />

Implemented successfully at Land Acquisition Section (General) and Land<br />
Acquisition Section (<strong>Howrah</strong> Improvement Trust) during 2004 and running<br />
effectively since then.<br />

Office 2000, Data Report 6.0 (Report Writer)<br />
Post Developmental / Post Implementation Role <strong>of</strong> NIC<br />
Necessary modifications in the existing s<strong>of</strong>tware are being carried out by NIC as per<br />
requirements from time to time.<br />
A new s<strong>of</strong>tware, to meet the requirements <strong>of</strong> the New Approach introducing revised<br />
procedure on land acquisition, viz., the BHU-ADHIGRAHAN s<strong>of</strong>tware, is to be<br />
implemented shortly.<br />
