DEVELOPMENT OF WEBSITE FOR HOWRAH ZILLA PARISHAD
Further to design development and hosting of Howrah portal at GOV domain, it was
felt by District Administration to further develop a separate portal of Howrah Zilla
Parishad .
Although a separate link was already available for Zilla Parishad in the portal of
Howrah, but to make Zilla Parishad a separate entity where only the contents of ZP
would be populated , a process towards design and development of the website
started by NIC, Howrah in the month of August,2007.
Through consultation with the officials of Zilla Parishad regarding Content
development and gathering some informations from portals of Zilla Parishad hosted
for Hoogly, Nadia, Uttar Dinajpur, Birbhum etc. , a layout was designed for the Index
Page which basically consisted the following topics:-
1. About the District
2. Members of HZP e.g Sabhadipati, Sahakari Sabhadipati & others
( This would contain a brief write up about their roles , etc.)
3. Sthayee Samiti Members List
4. Key Officials and Staffing Pattern
5. District Profile and Tender Notice
6. Employment Notice
7. Schemes like SGRY,IAY,etc.
8. Photo Gallery , Bulletin Board and Links to ZP across the Districts.The Index
Page would highlight important Announcements / Tender Notice from time to
time . A Site map would highlight all the Pages and their links so as to enable
users to easily browse through the portal for the required links.Finally, the
Portal got hosted with the URL as:- http://www.howrahzillaparishad.in in the month
of August, 2007 . A link in the Howrah District portal is provided in the Index
Page for the Zilla Parishad portal.
