A History 

of Innovation 

Williams Sound began with one person, a person motivated to help 

others. 

In the fall of 1975, Jerry Williams learned of a fellow parishioner who 

had diffi culty hearing the pastor’s sermon. Utilizing his extensive 

experience with electronics, Jerry assembled a simple transmitter 

and portable receiver out of spare parts from his workshop. When 

he approached the parishioner to see how the device had worked, 

she started to cry and said, “That’s the fi rst time I heard the service 

in three years.” In a moment, the idea behind “Helping People Hear” 

began to take shape; Jerry Williams’ “Williams Sound” was becoming 

a reality. In early 1976, Williams Sound made its fi rst sale of a 

Personal PA ® AM radio system to Faith Lutheran Church in Austin, 

Texas. The rest, as they say, is history. 

In the last 35+ years, Williams Sound has grown to become a global 

designer and manufacturer of wireless listening technology, serving 

personal and professional listening needs worldwide. 

Williams Sound products for consumers now include the Pocketalker 

® Personal Amplifi er, Motiva ® Personal FM, TV Talker TM TV Infrared 

and FM Listening Systems, and Teletalker Amplifi ed Telephone.

Quantity Discounts: 

Quantity discounts are shown on the price list. 

Blanket Orders: 

We offer Blanket Orders to obtain quantity discounts on certain 

products. Contact us for further information. 

MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) Policy: 

MAP pricing applies to products identifi ed under the “MAP” price 

column in the price list. For further information, please contact 

the factory. 

Shipping 

Our Goal: 

It is our goal to ship standard frequency products from stock 

within 24 to 48 hours, unless special handling is requested. We 

can usually have non-standard frequencies ready to go within 3-5 

business days. Verify product availability and shipping schedules 

with our Inside Sales staff. We’ll do everything we can to help get 

your equipment to you when you need it! 

How We Ship: 

We ship all orders the most cost-effective method (usually UPS 

ground transit), unless otherwise specifi ed by you. We can ship 

packages via Overnight, 2-day, or 3-day air services. Depending 

on the size and value of your order, we may make arrangements 

for the lowest cost shipping carrier. These cost savings 

are passed onto you! For carriers requested other than UPS, a 

$10.00 service fee will be added to your order. 

Drop Shipments: 

We offer drop shipments for our customers. A $6.00 service fee 

will be added to your order. Please note that we do not drop ship 

outside the U.S., this includes APO addresses. 

Cost of Shipping: 

All orders are FOB Williams Sound factory, Eden Prairie, Minnesota. 

Shipping costs are prepaid and invoiced on all open credit 

orders. COD charges are added to the invoice on any COD order. 

Damage Claims: 

For all shipments that have been received by you damaged, 

contact the local shipping carrier for claim instructions. Williams 

Sound is not responsible for damage that occurs in transit. 

30-Day Money Back Guarantee: 

All Williams Sound products are backed with a 30-Day Money 

Back Guarantee. We ask that you return the equipment in likenew 

condition, in the original packaging, and within 30 days of 

the invoice date. This enables us to give you a full credit for the 

product (excluding batteries). We do not issue credit for shipping 

charges or COD fees. 

Accounting 

Opening Order: 

Customers must pre-pay an opening order. Minimum opening 

order: $1,000. 

Orders Thereafter: 

For certain orders, terms may be available after the fi rst order, 

pending approval of the credit application. 

Payment and Credit Terms: 

Open credit may be available to you. Please fi ll out our one-page 

credit application and fax it to our Accounting Department at 

952-943-2174. The average process time is 1-2 weeks. If the 

Accounting Department approves your credit application, credit 

terms may be extended to your business. 

In the event of a late payment, or overdue invoice, accounts 

go into a credit hold status. All new orders will be held until the 

account is current. We charge a 2% monthly fi nance charge on 

all overdue invoices. NSF checks will result in a $50.00 service 

charge, fi nance charges, and immediate suspension of shipments 

until the account is paid in full. We reserve the right to 

place your account on credit hold, delay shipments, and/or 

change account terms if good credit and payment status are not 

maintained. We appreciate your efforts to communicate with us 

and pay on-time. 

Cash with Order Discount: 

If you prepay your orders with a company check, we’ll take an 

extra 3% off the total of your order (excluding shipping charges) 

The 3% cash with order discount is available to all our customers 

who maintain good credit standing with us (cannot be combined 

with any other offers, promotions or discounts).

subject to comply with U.S. Export Administration Regulations. Buyers 

who are reselling or distributing products agree that they will not 

re-export or otherwise transfer, directly or indirectly, goods provided 

by Seller that may constitue a violation or U.S. laws. Buyer agrees 

not to divert or resell products contrary to such laws and agrees not 

to sell products to any prohibited party or country. Buyer is responsible 

for obtaining the necessary authorization and information from 

their customers to ensure compliance with export control regualtions. 

Service 

Returns Made Easy: 

1) Call Us: 

Please call our Product Service Department at 800-328-6190 to request 

a Return Authorization (RA) Number and shipping instructions. 

2) Send it: 

Choose your preferred carrier to return the equipment to Williams 

Sound. Clearly mark on the outside of the package the RA Number; 

this will help us get the equipment back to you sooner. Prepay the 

shipping charges (no freight collect shipments will be accepted). 

Remember that items can become damaged in shipping, which we 

will not be responsible for. Please pack your items carefully. 

Warranty Repairs: 

It is our goal to complete repairs within 5 business days (larger 

quantities may need extra time). If the product you’re returning to 

us is under warranty, please provide a copy of the invoice. The warranty 

period starts from the date of sale. If the date of sale cannot 

be established, the date of manufacture will be used as the effective 

date of the warranty. We will repair, or at our option, replace any part 

or product that proves defective in materials or workmanship during 

the warranty period. The warranty does not extend to deliberate or 

accidental physical damage, neglect, misuse, or to products that we 

deem to be abused. Unauthorized repairs, use of our products with 

power supplies not verifi ed by Williams Sound, LLC, or modifi cations 

will void the warranty. The length of warranty is found on the 

warranty card included with the product. Accessory items (earphones, 

headphones, microphones, etc.) have a 90-day warranty. 

Specifi c Warranty Exclusion: 

Our products are not warranted for use in corrosive or 

chemically adverse environments. Specifi cally, damage due 

to moisture that can occur in health club type settings, or any 

other chemically corrosive environment, i.e. corroded batteries, 

sweat, salt. Damage due to these causes will VOID the product 

warranty. 

Out-of-Warranty Repairs: 

Out of Warranty repairs will be charged at a standard service 

rate. See the information under “Standard Service Rates.” 

Returns for Credit: 

Items returned for credit, in like new condition with complete 

packaging, will be issued a full credit (minus batteries and original 

shipping charges). Items returned for credit after 30 days 

are subject to a 20% restocking fee. We are unable to issue 

credit for merchandise after 90 days from the date of purchase. 

Additional fees or refusal of credit may occur due to missing or 

damaged equipment.
