Established the expediting role within the Warehouse Controller’s responsibilities to ensure timely delivery of goods. 5. Initiated the proposal of MODA enhancements (Rev. 3) to Finance with respect to Supply Chain activities. 6. Developed Performance Monitoring Systems based on a predetermined SLA. 7. Supported successful implementation of Oracle ERP. 8. Achieved approx. AED 1.6M savings in procurement activities as well as AED 1.7M in contracts activities. 9. Initiated and executed a new catering agreement. VI. Future Plans Having completed our fire-fighting phase, we are now in the phase of executing our policies and procedures to effectively meet the user requirements. None of this would have happened, however, without the unconditional support of the PI Management and the directives from ADNOC HQs. 138

Executive Summary The highlights of the year for the PI Public Affairs department (PR) include: • Formally established the department and identified its role, functions and activities • Coordinated the PI Branding and launch of the new logo • Facilitated the activities for the ABET Review Teams’ visit • Coordinated the visits of dignitaries, delegations and teams within/outside UAE II. Mission and Goals The Public Relations Department is committed to foster a relationship of mutual trust, cooperation and respect between the PI and the government, media and community. As an official voice of the Institute, the PR department helps articulate PI’s mission and image to its partners, media and the public in clear, consistent and compelling ways so that the desired image of the PI is promoted. The primary responsibilities of Public Relations are designed to foster close relationships with the media, government agencies and the public they interact; to enhance internal communication on campus with students, faculty, staff and alumni; and to coordinate marketing, advertising and public relations activities to promote PI’s identity as one of the UAE’s finest higher education institutions to internal and external constituencies. The PR Department coordinates PI’s media relations and communications activities. The department responds to media inquiries and 139
