ran scathing denunciations of his campaign. On June 9,
1918, it noted, "Rep. Clarence H. Miller denounced
Lindbergh and the Non Partisan League as seditious.
'According to Mr. Lindbergh the Liberty Loan is an
instrument devised by the money sharks. It seems
inexcusable that any person allowed to be at large in the
United States could entertain or epxress such a view of
