have a common program. That program was published
by Karl Marx in 1848 as "The Communist Manifesto":

Application of all rents of land to public purposes.
A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
Abolition of all right of inheritance.
Confiscation of property of emigrants and rebels.
Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national
bank, with state capital an exclusive monopoly.
Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state,
bringing into cultivation of waste lands,and improvement of the soil generally
in accordance with a common plan.
Equal obligation of all to work.
Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries.
Gradual abolition of distinction between town and country, by more equitable
distribution of population over the country.
Free education for all children in public schools.
Combination of education with industrial production.
Abolition of child labour in its present form.
The foundations never oppose or contradict a single
plank of the Communist Manifesto. The program has
given us "vocational training" instead of education, which
is a different form of child labour.
