o<strong>the</strong>r perks, to produce propaganda for <strong>the</strong> CIA and its<br />

ulterior goals.<br />

The National Review is considered <strong>the</strong> most influential<br />

CIA publication. It consistently puffs Jean Kirkpatrick,<br />

Milton Friedman, and o<strong>the</strong>r cognoscenti <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

intelligence <strong>com</strong>munity and <strong>the</strong> Viennese School <strong>of</strong><br />

Economics. The New York Times, Dec. 8, 1984, noted<br />

<strong>the</strong> marriage <strong>of</strong> William Buckley's son Christopher to<br />

Lucy Gregg, daughter <strong>of</strong> 31 year CIA <strong>of</strong>ficial, Donald<br />

Phinney Gregg, who is now personal adviser on national<br />

security to Vice President Bush.<br />

Buckley founded <strong>the</strong> National Review with Morrie<br />

Ryskind and George Sokolsky, funding <strong>the</strong> publication<br />

with ample funds from <strong>the</strong> Central Investment Agency<br />

and its Wall Street connections. Buckley's only known<br />

employment was his stint with <strong>the</strong> CIA under Howard<br />

Hunt at <strong>the</strong> CIA's station in Mexico City, immediately<br />

after Buckley graduated from Yale. Buckley became<br />

godfa<strong>the</strong>r to Hunt's children.<br />

"Enskids" NSCIDS No. 7 gave <strong>the</strong> CIA power to question<br />

Americans in <strong>the</strong> U.S. about <strong>the</strong>ir foreign travel and to<br />

<strong>of</strong> 1947, which forbade <strong>the</strong> CIA to exercise any internal<br />
