The Rothschilds have had a large position in Vickers for
many years. Chairman is Sir Peter Matthews, also
director Lloyd's Bank and Sun Alliance. Directors are T.
Neville; Baron Braybrooke; Earl of Warwick (the
Salisburys, one of three ruling families in England); Sir
Alastair Frame, chief exec. Rio Tinto Zinc, director of
Plessey & Co. UK, and the Atomic Energy Authority. The
chairman of Vickers in 1956 was Edward Knollys, son of
the private secretary to King Edward VII forty years, and
George V for 5 years.
ROTHCHILD INTERESTS IN AMERICA
