Protect yourself against calls<br />

<strong>Th<strong>is</strong></strong> sections explains how you can protect yourself against other users applying<br />

telephony features on you via menu guidance or using function codes.<br />

Activating protection against call types<br />

You want to protect yourself against certain types of calls.<br />

You can set the settings so that the following functions, where available in your communications<br />

system, are <strong>no</strong>t allowed on your phone.<br />

• Do <strong>no</strong>t d<strong>is</strong>turb: Incoming calls are automatically forwarded to a specific destination.<br />

• Call waiting: You are already making/taking a call. You are <strong>no</strong>tified by a waiting tone<br />

and phone number or name in the d<strong>is</strong>play that someone else <strong>is</strong> trying to reach you.<br />

You can either answer or reject th<strong>is</strong> second call.<br />

• Intrusion: A third participant can intrude into your active call and l<strong>is</strong>ten to your conversation.<br />

• An<strong>no</strong>uncement: You can address internal users directly via their loudspeaker –<br />

where available –, without waiting for a reply (similar principle to that of an intercom<br />

system).<br />

• Call forwarding: Incoming calls are forwarded directly to your phone.<br />

Ask your system admin<strong>is</strong>trator whether these functions are enabled on the system.<br />

Menu<br />

Settings<br />

Press the Menu Foxkey.<br />

Scroll to Settings and press the Select Foxkey.<br />

Protection<br />

Scroll to Protection and press the Select Foxkey.<br />

Scroll to the required protection settings and press the Modify Foxkey.<br />

<br />

Select the required setting and confirm with the Ok Foxkey.<br />

➔The setting <strong>is</strong> stored.<br />

Note:<br />

You can deactivate an activated protection using Menu > Activated features ><br />

FoxkeyReset.<br />
