Starting an an<strong>no</strong>uncement<br />

You want to address internal users directly via their loudspeaker – where available –,<br />

without waiting for a reply (similar principle to that of an intercom system).<br />

Requirement: It <strong>is</strong> essential that the internal user has <strong>no</strong>t barred h<strong>is</strong> phone against<br />

an<strong>no</strong>uncement (for configuration see the chapter "Activating protection against call<br />

types", <strong>page</strong> 95).<br />

Notes:<br />

• Intercom (duplex mode) <strong>is</strong> a special form of an<strong>no</strong>uncement whereby the phone of<br />

the called user immediately transforms your an<strong>no</strong>uncement into an internal connection.<br />

Depending on the system configuration your call party can answer your<br />

an<strong>no</strong>uncement directly in intercom, without having to press a key. Contact your<br />

system admin<strong>is</strong>trator for more information.<br />

• If the called user has several phones in the one number user concept with activated<br />

hands-free, any phone (the quickest) answers the call.<br />

Pick up the handset.<br />

An<strong>no</strong>uncement<br />

<br />

Press the An<strong>no</strong>uncement Foxkey.<br />

Select destination (User or Group) and confirm with the Ok Foxkey.<br />

Enter the phone number and confirm with the Ok Foxkey.<br />

➔User <strong>is</strong> made aware of the an<strong>no</strong>uncement. You can <strong>no</strong>w talk.<br />

Note:<br />

You can also search in the phone book, last-number redial l<strong>is</strong>t or call l<strong>is</strong>t for the<br />

phone number of the person you are looking for.<br />

Or<br />

You can also start the an<strong>no</strong>uncement using Menu > Call features > An<strong>no</strong>uncement<br />

> User/Group.<br />
