F. Notify Architect, in writing at time of submission, of deviations in submittals from requirements of Contract
Documents.
G. Begin no work which requires submittals until return of submittals with Architect stamp and initials or
signature indicating review.
H. After Architect's review, distribute copies.
1.06 SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A. Schedule Submission at least 14 days before dates reviewed submittals will be needed. All submittals must be
into the Architect's office within 90-days of Contract award. All finish items are to be submitted in a
box at the same time within 60-days of Contract award.
B. Submit number of copies of Shop Drawings, and Product Data which Contractor requires for distribution.
C. Submit number of Samples specified in each specification section. If Contractor wants a sample(s) for the job
trailer, then enough samples should be submitted so they can be returned to the trailer.
D. Accompany submittals with transmittal letter containing:
1. Date
2. Project title and number
3. Contractor's name and address
4. The number of each Shop Drawing, Product Data and Sample submitted.
5. Notification of deviations from Contract Documents.
6. Document recycled content on Recycled Content Information Form in Appendix A of this Section, or
similar form as approved by Owner. Include pre- and post-consumer recycled content.
7. Document raw material acquisition and manufacture location on Regional Material Information Form in
Appendix B of this Section.
8. Document VOC emissions in grams/liter (g/L) on form in Appendix C of this Section, or similar form as
approved by Owner.
9. Document FSC Chain of Custody information in Appendix D of this Section, or similar form as approved
by Owner.Other pertinent data.
E. Submittals shall include:
1. Date and revision dates.
2. Project title and number.
3. The names of:
a. Architect
b. Contractor
c. Subcontractor
d. Supplier
e. Manufacturer
f. Separate detailer; when pertinent
4. Identification of product or material.
5. Identification of product material cost without labor.
6. Product environmental data
a. Pre-consumer and post-consumer ecycled content
b. Location of raw material extraction, collection or harvest and distance from project.
c. Location of material manufacture and distance from project.
d. Chain of custody information for FSC Certified Wood Products.
e. Invoices for all wood products.
f. VOC levels for all interior adhesives, sealants, paints and coatings in grams/liter (g/L).
7. Field dimensions, clearly identified as such.
8. Specification section and number.
9. Identification of deviations from Contract Documents.
10. Contractor's stamp, initialed or signed, certifying to review of submittal, verification of field measurements
and compliance with Contract Documents.
1.07 ARCHITECT'S DUTIES
A. Review submittals with reasonable promptness.
B. Review for:
1. Design concept of project.
2. Information given in Contract Documents.
