9. Provide gutters at horizontals at bottom of glass; weep to exterior through baffles weep holes.
B. Fabricate aluminum components with integral low conductance thermal barrier located between exterior and
interior exposed components which eliminates metal-to-metal contact.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Install in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and approved Shop Drawings.
B. Install components plumb and level, in proper plane, free from warp and twist.
C. Provide alignment attachments and anchors to permanently attach components to building structure.
D. Weld adjustable anchorage connections after curtainwall is properly positioned.
E. Compensate for predictable conditions that could cause system to exceed allowable tolerances.
F. Employ reinforcing members if required. If temporary braces or erection clips are used. Prevent damage to
exposed surfaces.
G. Install glass and accessories in accordance with Section 08810.
H. Apply one coat of bituminous paint to concealed aluminum surfaces in contact with cementitious materials or
dissimilar metals.
I. Installation Tolerances:
1. Variation from plane or locations shown on Shop Drawings: Maximum 1/8 inch in 10 feet of length or ½
inch in any total length.
2. Offset from true alignment between two identical members abutting end to end in line: Maximum 1/32
inch.
3. Sealant space between curtainwall and adjacent construction: Minimum ¼ inch.
3.02 ADJUSTING
A. Touch up minor scratches and abrasions to match original finish.
