structure. Furthermore, a goal programming model may be composed of<br />
non-homogeneous units of measure, which is the case under consideration.<br />
In brief, the main task here refers to the compensation of total expenses<br />
with the decision maker’s requirement regarding gross profits, without any<br />
change in the operating pattern of the clinic, as far as the manpower level is<br />
concerned.<br />
3.1. Specification of the Problem Decision Variables<br />
• The first 10 decision or choice variables X i (i = 1,...,10) are<br />
already defined in Table 3 and refer to the number of personnel in<br />
group i.<br />
— Variables X 11 ...X 20 , stand for the salary cost of each group.<br />
— Variable X 21 denotes total salary cost at the final year.<br />
— Variables X 22 ...X 31 refer to the total working hours, observed in<br />
the 5th column of Table 4.
