Contributors<br />
Fabrizio Iacone obtained a Ph.D. in <strong>Economic</strong>s at the London School of<br />
<strong>Economic</strong>s and is currently a Lecturer in the Department of <strong>Economic</strong>s at<br />
the University of York, UK. He has already published several articles in<br />
leading journals.<br />
Nikos Konidaris is currently a Ph.D. student at Hellenic Open University,<br />
School of Social Sciences, researching in the field of Business Administration.<br />
He holds an MA degree in Business and Management and a Bachelor’s<br />
Degree in <strong>Economic</strong>s & Marketing from Luton University UK.<br />
Nikitas Spiros Koutsoukis is anAssistant Professor of Decision Modelling<br />
and Scientific Management in the Department of International <strong>Economic</strong><br />
Relations and Development, Democritus University, Greece. He holds MSc<br />
and Ph.D. in decision modeling from Brunel University (UK). He is interested<br />
mainly in decision modeling and governance systems, with applications<br />
in risk management, business intelligence and operational research<br />
based decision support.<br />
Alexis Lazaridis, Professor in Econometrics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,<br />
Greece, has obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham,<br />
England. He was a member of the Administrative Board of the Organization<br />
of Mediation and Arbitration, of the Administrative Board of the<br />
Centre of International and European <strong>Economic</strong> Law, and of the Supreme<br />
Labour Council of Greece. During his term of service as Head of the <strong>Economic</strong><br />
Department Faculty of Law and <strong>Economic</strong>s, Aristotle University of<br />
Thessaloniki, he was conferred an honorary doctoral degree by the President<br />
of the Republic of Cyprus. He was also pronounced an honorary<br />
member of the Centre of International and <strong>Economic</strong> European Law by the<br />
Secretary-General of the Legal Services of E.U. He has published several<br />
books, large number of scientific papers and has patents on two computer<br />
software programs.<br />
Athanassios Mihiotis is an Assistant Professor at the School of Social<br />
Science of the Hellenic Open University. He has obtained his Ph.D. in<br />
industrial management from the National Technical University of Athens,<br />
Greece. He is the editor of the International Journal of Decision Sciences,<br />
Risk and Management. He has in the past worked as Planning and Logistics<br />
Director for multinational and domestic companies and has served as<br />
member of project teams in the Greek public sector.
