About the Editor Prof. Dipak Basu is currently a Professor in International Economics in Nagasaki University in Japan. He has obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham, England and did his post-doctoral research in Cambridge University. He was previously a Lecturer in Oxford University — Institute of Agricultural Economics, Senior Economist in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia and Senior Economist in charge of Middle East & Africa Division of Standard & Poor (Data Resources Inc). He has published six books and more than 60 research papers in leading academic journals. xiii
