The importance of prayer
Could you not watch with me one hour?
Matthew 26:40
1. Enter in by the blood of Jesus: confess sin and/or take communion
2. Enter in by thanksgiving of all the goodness God has given you
in your life
3. Enter in by worshipping the Lord and asking the Holy Spirit to
come and have fellowship with you.
4. Move into prayer for God’s kingdom to come and will be done
in earth as it is in heaven. Pray over your day that the plans of the
enemy are blocked and God’s plans for your life, family, and ministry
take place. (can look at prayer list on back to cover the various
things that need to be covered)
5. Pray for your needs, that God would give you your natural and
spiritual needs to be met today.
6. Pray for you to forgive others and walk in forgiveness and be
like Jesus this day.
7. Ask the Lord to not lead you into temptation, but help you to
live a holy blameless life above reproach—even avoiding the appearance
of evil. Also pray you will not be deceived in any way by
satan.
8. Ask that you are delivered and protected from evil, satan’s
plans, and the purposes of the enemy are not able to take place.
(time to put on the armor of God and speak Psalm 91 out loud
over yourself, family, and those under your care in the Lord)
