Part I
Intro: James 4:4 those that are friends of the world are enemies of
God
I. We live in satan’s domain: 2 Cor 4:4 (satan god of this world)
a. satan has Adam’s lease
b. Jesus has the scroll (new lease) Rev 5:1­5
c. Demas fell away: Col 4:14 Demas with Paul, Philemon 24
Paul’s fellow laborer, 2Tim 4:10 Demas forsakes Paul loving
this present world.
2. Living separate from the world John 17:14
a. God’s people are going to become increasingly distinct from
the people of the world.
b. Entertainment (Jezebel has a throne) pushes sex, violence,
and rebellion; there’s a promotion of satanic music and the
occult; even children’s cartoons now promote witchcraft and
new age; banking, big business, and the economy are
slowly setting stage for a cashless society which will one day
become the mark of the beast (antichrist); The global military
is gearing up for world conflict to destroy Israel, kill Christians,
and the rise of the antichrist. In the end it will play a major
role in killing Jews and Christians, burning Bibles, and destroying
churches. It will be used to martyr many believers;
The medical field promotes abortion, occult healing, and
atheism. The judicial system is full of worldliness, greed, and
the love of money. There is an honoring of the man­made
