spirit of greed. These false prophets will give a word if the price is right.
They offer vain promises of wealth to come to those, who of course,
give to them. They are deceived and are deceiving others. As in the
days of Jezebel, the true prophets have been hidden in caves oppressed
and not well received by the overall church, while the false
prophets are given honor, very visible platforms, and very well received
by the overall church.
The Lord’s response, “I will lift my hand off those who do not quickly
repent. The end time plagues will surely engulf them. But I have reserved
a remnant who has not bowed their knee to this evil. I have
prepared “Davids” in my caves of prayer and persecution for this hour.
They will walk in the Spirit of Elijah. They have an imputed righteousness
and do not fear men. Like Samuel they carry my influence. They
are rising warriors.
Emerge my giant killers! Arise my prophets! Now is the hour. The
purging of my people begins.
I see witchcraft in my church broken, says the Lord. No longer will satan’s
agenda prevail among my people. Pride will come crashing down.
Oppressive leaders will themselves be oppressed. For whatever a man
sows, he reaps. I will now make a great distinction between those who
are truly right with me from their hearts, apart from those who are
tainted. Jezebel, I will unmask you, says the Lord of hosts. Be cursed!
For you have led my people astray. I will judge you greatly with those
who have embraced you and your ways. I see the scales of justice tipping
now in favor of the righteous ones, says the Lord.”
The word of the Lord through John Bevere
John Bevere has written a book I highly recommend reading entitled
Thus Saith the Lord? In this book, he helps someone discern between
true and false prophets. At the end of this book he writes a prophetic
word for leaders of God’s people. I want to share that word with you as
move to the end of this book. This is the word of the Lord through John
Bevere:
“No longer hold back the necessary warnings from those the Holy Spirit
has placed under your care. Shepherd the church of God purchased
with the precious blood of His Son. The time has come when many will
no longer heed sound doctrine. Plagued by covetous hearts and itching
ears, they will seek out those who will preach a “gospel” that gratifies
their self­serving appetites. This will not cease, but will continue to
spread, until leadership accepts and walks in the mantle of the Elijah
