Preparing an individual for deliverance beforehand
This is one of the most important times. This is the foundational time
before the deliverance will actually happen. The more successful you
are in this area, the easier and more established the deliverance will
be. You may do this over the phone, or have the person sit down with
you before the deliverance. I have a list of things to cover in the manual
if you want to look in the appendix at it now, but I do want to expound
on some things.
Make sure they are saved and willing to be right with God
As a deliverance worker you must make sure the person is truly born
again without a doubt. If they are not sure, they are most likely not. So
lead them in a sinner’s prayer to seal that. Make sure they understand
Christianity will cost them everything. That means all their sin, the lust
of the flesh, the sin in the world, and giving up all they have with satan.
To some people out there, this may be their whole life. If they are not
willing to be 100% for Jesus, they will probably never truly get delivered,
and there is a good chance, they may never make it to heaven
either!
Make sure they fully understand they will have to give up all occult
powers with satan. That means even their ability to see in the spirit
world, talk to demons at will, or defend themselves. Many satanists will
struggle with this tremendously! They use these things to defend and
protect themselves. Be patient but firm with them. Understand that they
are scared to give these up, but help them understand Jesus can protect
them better than they could ever protect themselves. I need to explain
the demonic link between the spirit and soul a little more. Rebecca
Brown has done an incredible job with this in her books, but I
will attempt to explain it to you. Your spirit is exactly like your body with
the exception of being spiritual instead of a natural body. Your spirit
man looks exactly like your physical body in appearance. It has eyes,
ears, nose, a mouth, and can see, hear, smell, taste, and touch in the
spirit realm. I believe before Adam and Eve fell, it is my opinion that
they had an ability to communicate completely in both the natural and
spiritual realms simultaneously. It is also my opinion that satan has
never created anything and only perverts what God has already created.
So, I say that to say, what man knew in the beginning, satan has
perverted and duplicated with astral projection and the ability to communicate
