Another story
A dear friend of mine was recently telling me that he was reading a
good book. In this book the author was taken into hell. He saw a man
that was being beaten with white hot chains that were on fire. The author
of the book asked the angel that was escorting him what the man
did to deserve such a punishment. The angel said, “He perverted the
gospel.”
Distinguishing between the holy and the profane
Ezekiel 44:23 states “They (the priests) are to teach my people the
difference between the holy and the common and show them how to
distinguish between the unclean and the clean.” We have a responsibility
to help people see what is holy and what is not. We will be judged
for not doing that. In the New Testament, we are all priests—not just
ministers. A dear friend my wife and I know grew up in satanism. She
was discipled in it from childhood. She was taught how satan desensitizes
society to accept homosexuality and abortion, and one day the
antichrist. Things like Harry Potter should be hated by Christians. I was
so proud of the church that burned the material at their church. They
were persecuted by the news, but blessed by the Lord! Because my
wife used to be a satanist, she knows what really goes on during Halloween.
She won’t even watch a commercial that celebrates Halloween,
she hates it so much. We don’t even have television as a family
any more. I don’t feel it is a sin to have one, but it is a sin to watch
most of what comes on it anymore. We must guard ourselves against
this desensitizing. It is dangerous and easy to fall prey to.
Discernment: ways to be kept from deception
Hebrews 5:14 says, “But solid food is for the mature, who by constant
use have trained themselves to distinguish (discern) good from evil.”
You are a body, soul, and spirit. We are made in the image of God
being a three part being. Our spirits have eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and
hands to feel just like our bodies. In fact, our spirits look exactly like
our bodies. Our inner spiritual senses can become sharp, keen, and
very strong. This happens by constant use. In the days to come, it will
be virtually impossible to judge by outward appearance alone. We will
have to use our spiritual senses. A danger in this is moving into the
occult for that ability. Make sure it is the Holy Spirit that is helping you
to see, hear, or feel things. If you can ever make something happen,
that is a sign it is demonic. God will initiate and control all that goes on
in this area. You should not be able to make yourself have an out of
