Congratulations to <strong>Province</strong> <strong>20</strong><br />
Director Brother Gerry Barton, first<br />
<strong>Australia</strong>n Catenian Brother is sit on<br />
Grand Council Executive, in the<br />
position <strong>of</strong> Chairman <strong>of</strong> AusCom.<br />
Dear Brothers.<br />
A warm and fraternal welcome to all my fellow<br />
Catenian Brothers.<br />
Congratulations to the many Brothers who helped at<br />
the Mission: one heart many voices Conference. Once<br />
again, our Catenian Brothers and their expertise is<br />
sourced again from other Catholic organisations. We<br />
cannot go any further without mentioning the<br />
marvellous devotion <strong>of</strong> our <strong>Province</strong> 21 President<br />
Brother John Tweedie and his family. Actions speak<br />
louder than words and this was magnificently<br />
demonstrated by John and his family at the<br />
Conference.<br />
I would like to welcome Grand Vice-President Robert<br />
Butler as a contributor to <strong>Eastern</strong> <strong>Link</strong>. Brother Bob<br />
will be vising us next year when he takes over the<br />
reigns as Grand President. He will be marrying his visit<br />
with our 4 th <strong>Australia</strong>n National Conference being held<br />
in Sydney.<br />
Very sadly, our Association has lost one <strong>of</strong> its longest<br />
serving City <strong>of</strong> Sydney Circle Brother’s; Greg Smyth<br />
RIP. He was such a devoted Catenian and committed<br />
Catholic. He was always making sure that I carried<br />
something about Mary’s Rosary Chain. I <strong>of</strong>ten spoke<br />
with him on the phone, but had never met him<br />
personally, my deepest sympathies to Colleen and his<br />
family. Such a loss to our Association. May he rest in<br />
peace. Amen.<br />
I would like to thank our very hardworking <strong>Province</strong> 21<br />
Secretary, Brother George Kazs. He is a tremendous<br />
asset to <strong>Province</strong> 21, thank-you George for all you help<br />
in providing our Catenian Brothers with so much<br />
information.<br />
Looking forward to receiving items for future<br />
publications.<br />
